John Ellis is a Vancouver based producer, engineer and musician who has contributed his musical and technical skills to countless recordings and live projects. John has been an in-demand session player and touring musician for many years. John ventured into production and engineering in the 90’s and has worked his way to the enviable position of being one of Vancouver’s most sought-after producers.
As a true “musician’s producer” John is highly respected amongst musicians and “industry” types alike. He is best known for his for his low-key demeanour and relaxed approach to being in the studio. Artists love this about John. His relaxed command of the project and his ability to seamlessly take care of all the details allows the artist to focus on their creativity and performance. John has toured with artists that include Sean Hogan, Colin James, Barney Bentall, Ferron and Suzanne Gitzi. As a respected session player, John’s guitar, steel, mandolin and banjo skills can be heard on programs that include DaVinci’s Inquest, The Handler, Betrayed and The Immortal. |
